A Big GOTD Update + Praise for the Internets.
It's not just for porn anymore!
We all know my mind runs on caffeine, patterns, and compulsions. That’s no secret. I already made a post highlighting all of the research I have done while writing my elaborate death scenes in Gig of the Damned. I said if I’m going to [bleep] someone’s [blop] with a barbed [bloop], I want to make sure it sounded as plausible as possible. So this last weekend I wrote my FINAL fight/death scene. I wanted it to be as big as the rest of the fights in my story but moreso since it ends with the big twist and the finale. Our finale takes place at the pageant at a grand hotel in downtown LA.
So I said, ok me…don’t just make it any old hotel, pick one. That way you can look up pictures of it and hopefully get some good inspiration to do this finale justice. So I chose the Rosslyn hotel as my reference. WELP, my extra ass, through the wonder that is the internet, was able to research the HELL out of this beautiful hotel. So much so,that I got pictures of the wildly eccentric basement, alley, and even the hotel rooms involved. Hell I found blueprints too! I was even able to find pictures during construction so I could add that element in as well. So when I say “The Queen bashed Evayda’s head through the antique painted windows in the basement”… I have the receipts!
So I just wanted to share some cool behind-the-scenes information and might have to make plans to stay in this grand hotel one day…as an homage to my girls and my first book that will be done TONIGHT! DO YOU HEAR ME TONIGHTTTT!!!!! AHHHHH!!!! I’m so excited!! I am writing the Epilogue as soon as I hit post on this! So let me get to it. Then the wonderful editing phase can begin which leads to the incredibly close RELEASE OF GIG OF THE DAMNED AHHH!!!!!
